The coast around the hotel
Porto Bali Hotel works best as a base. The hotel does not operate tours or excursions, but it is well placed for exploring the Santa Cruz Cabrália coastline, and the front desk can point you toward what is nearby.
The suggestions on this page are here as inspiration for your own days out. Anything run by another company is arranged with that company, never through the hotel.

Sand first, everything else afterwards.
Mutari Beach sits roughly 20 m from the property, which makes it the natural first stop of any stay. Mornings here are quiet and the sand runs a long way, so it stays easy to find your own patch even in the busier months.
Four stretches of coast within easy reach
The coastline around Santa Cruz Cabrália changes character every few kilometres, from quiet sand with almost nothing on it to wider beaches with kiosks and services along the shore.
Most guests find a favourite within a day or two and then keep returning to it, which is exactly the way this part of Bahia is meant to be used.
- Mutari Beach
- Roughly 20 m from the property, long and calm in the morning, and the easiest walk of the whole trip.
- Praia de Arakakai
- A calm stretch of coast within easy reach of the hotel, good for a slow, quiet swim.
- Praia de Coroa Vermelha
- One of the better known beaches in the area, with more services along the shore and a livelier feel.
- Muta Beach
- A wide beach nearby that rewards a slow afternoon rather than a quick stop.

Coroa Alta Boat & Reef Experience
Boats leave from the Santa Cruz Cabrália waterfront for the shallow reef banks of Coroa Alta, where the water turns clear and warm over the sand. It is one of the classic days out on this part of the Bahian coast, and it is worth setting aside a full day for it rather than trying to fit it around something else.
This is an external experience operated independently. Porto Bali Hotel does not operate, sell or guarantee it, and any arrangement is made with the operator themselves.

Santo André, Bahia
Santo André is a small coastal village south of Santa Cruz Cabrália, reached by crossing the river. It is quiet, green and unhurried, with a shoreline that feels a long way from anything busy, and it makes good inspiration if you want to see more of the wider region while staying on the coast.
A half day there is enough for a walk, a long lunch and the crossing back, and it pairs well with an afternoon returned to the pool.
The link below is an independent destination resource and is not a service operated or guaranteed by Porto Bali Hotel.

Stay close to all of it
Beaches, reef banks, river crossings and small coastal towns are all within reach of one relaxed hotel, and the pool is waiting when the day is done.
